Carob Seeds:

Carob seed is the export product of Terra Carob Industry. Carob seeds are used in the food industry as Locust Bean Gum, a natural additive obtained by grinding the endosperms of the carob tree seeds.

Its key properties are the ability to thicken dilutions by interacting with water and the capacity to combine with other types of hydrocolloids to enhance or modify their effects. Therefore, it has a wide range of uses in the manufacturing of food products and other industrial resources.

It is widely used as a natural additive in the production of pastry, jam, ice cream, creamy cheese products, baby foods, delicatessen meat products, pudding, gelatin and various sauces.

Carob Flour:

Its fiber and fiber-rich content provides digestive effects and supports intestinal health. Carob flour stands out with its high calcium content and thus fights bone diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.

Carob Vinegar

Carob vinegar is a type of vinegar made from the fermented juice of carob peels. It is a traditional product of Mediterranean cuisine, especially Cyprus, Greece and Italy. The fermentation process can take several months, depending on the desired taste and acidity level. The vinegar is then aged for several months to develop its full flavor. Carob vinegar is dark yellow in color and has a distinctive, slightly sweet taste. It is often used as a condiment and can be used in salad dressings, marinades, and various meat, chicken and fish dishes. It can also be used as a natural sweetener in cooking instead of traditional vinegar.

Terra Carob Industry Ltd. started to produce carob vinegar as a result of its R&D studies. Our company has been producing carob vinegar since June 2023 in the production track established with its own equity and EU financing.
