Carob Vinegar Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons of carob vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (like basil, parsley, or thyme)

Mediterranean Salad with Carob Vinegar

Preparation Of:

  1. In a small bowl, mix well the carob vinegar, olive oil, honey or maple syrup, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper.
  2. Taste the sauce to taste and adjust the seasonings to your taste.
  3. Optionally, chop a handful of fresh herbs and add flavor to the sauce.
  4. Let the sauce rest for a few minutes to allow the flavors to combine.
  5. Drizzle carob vinegar dressing over your favorite green salads or use it as a marinade for grilled vegetables, chicken or fish.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs optionally.
  7. Mix the salad or let it sit for a while to absorb the flavors of the marinated ingredients.
