Carob Vinegar Sauce
Ingredients:- 3 tablespoons of carob vinegar
- 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Optional: Fresh herbs (like basil, parsley, or thyme)
Mediterranean Salad with Carob Vinegar
Preparation Of:
- In a small bowl, mix well the carob vinegar, olive oil, honey or maple syrup, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper.
- Taste the sauce to taste and adjust the seasonings to your taste.
- Optionally, chop a handful of fresh herbs and add flavor to the sauce.
- Let the sauce rest for a few minutes to allow the flavors to combine.
- Drizzle carob vinegar dressing over your favorite green salads or use it as a marinade for grilled vegetables, chicken or fish.
- Garnish with fresh herbs optionally.
- Mix the salad or let it sit for a while to absorb the flavors of the marinated ingredients.
